2006 Summer Art Classes by Gretka Domer and Grant Rath
Encourage your child's creativity.
All Classes will be held at the Caledonia Resource Center. Call the Resource Center to register. You may purchase class materials on your own or the creative center will have the materials ready for you to purchase on the 1st day of class if you register at least one week before the class begins. Note: There will not be classes on the 3rd, or the 4th of July.
All classes will be $70.00

Simple Print Making Class
Class Description:
Potato-print, mono-print, thumb-print, brush-print. It's a fine art, not only for kindergarten, but also for adults and older children.
Ages: 4 - 6, and 7 - 12
Instructor: Gretka Domer

Learn More About Color Class
Class Description:
Through the medium of water-based paint, we will mix colors to discover new hues, tints and shades. We will learn to appreciate limited color schemes and look for examples in nature.
Ages: 5 - 12

Painting with Acrylics Class
Class Description:
For middle school children. Brush techniques and color mixing. Introduction to composition and producing a finished piece.
Ages: 10 - 14

Painting with Watercolor or Tempera Class
Class Description:
For younger children. Brush technique and color mixing. The subject of the final piece will be "A Home".
Ages: 4 - 8

The Power of Prisma Art Class
Class Description:
What you can expect to learn in this class are elements that create illusion of three dimension to layer color within tone and value to give your drawings mass and volume.
Instructor: Grant Rath
Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 -12:00 noon starting June 12th. Class will run for 3 weeks.
Comic Relief Class
Class Description:
You will learn face construction, body anatomy, perspective, design layout, story and plot discovery.

Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 -12:00 noon starting June 13th. Class will run for 3 weeks.
Basic Drawing
Class Description:
Students will learn to draw in perspective, site in subjects for size, shade, and learn the importance of line quality and design.

The Shape of Things
Class Description:
This class is about looking at objects from their most basic shape. We will talk about many different kinds of line, work with pattern and texture, learn to draw people, and use photos to draw animals.

Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30 -2:30 PM starting June 13th. Class will run for 3 weeks.
